Kids’ Breakaway 2019

ALASKA: A FRONTIER ADVENTURE

PK/MK Retreat 2018

It’s time to register for the annual PK/MK Retreat! We are offering two special retreats for our District PK’s and MK’s – one for those currently enrolled in grades 7-12, and one for those in grades 2-6!  Both retreats meet at the same time at the Bongiorno Conference Center, but participants will be housed separately and will have different programs. PK/MK Retreat is for children of ministers who are credential holders in the PennDel District of the Assemblies of God.

PK/MK Retreat begins on Saturday, October 20 with registration from 2:30-3:00 PM (Youth in the hotel lobby; children in the David Center lobby.) The first meal served will be dinner on Saturday. The retreat will conclude on Monday, October 22 with pick up at 11:00 AM (no lunch will be served).  All PK’s & MK’s attending should be a part of the entire retreat. (School absence excuse letter can be provided upon request.)

KidMin Trainings 2018

We are thrilled to announce our next series of Children’s Ministry Trainings in several PennDel sections! Like this past spring, this will again be a time for children’s pastors/leaders, kids’ classroom teachers, volunteers and other lay leaders to learn and grow in the great work of investing in the lives of kids!

2017 BGMC Project

Jackson’s Ridge Children’s Ministry Training Center
Magaliesburg, South Africa

Jackson’s Ridge is a one of a kind organization dedicated exclusively to changing children’s lives. Jackson’s Ridge is a non profit organization that was established by the Assemblies of God World Missions, USA in partnership with the International Assemblies of God of South Africa. JR (as the locals call it) is located just outside Magaliesburg in the Northwest province of South Africa.

JR Changes Children’s Lives through three exciting ministry programs:

  • First, Jackson’s Ridge is a Children’s Ministry Training Centre for adult leaders, children’s workers, teachers and community workers who want to impact the lives of all children in their communities.
  • Second, Jackson’s Ridge is a Children’s Camping facility specializing in camps for all kinds of children from church groups, community organizations and disadvantaged communities. Jackson’s Ridge also serves as the continental office for Royal Family Kids Camps, a program designed especially for hurting children who have been physically, emotionally and sexually abused and neglected.
  • Third, Jackson’s Ridge is a Resource Centre, providing the largest array of children’s ministry materials and supplies in Africa.

The Penndel CE Department has chosen Jackson’s Ridge as our 2017 BGMC Project. Our Breakaway & Camp offerings will specifically go to support this great work – please come prepared to those events to be a blessing to Jackson’s Ridge! Women in Ministry 2017

Hi Girlfriends!!

I trust you have been ENJOYING YOUR RIDE after our great weekend last September! I know it gets bumpy at times; however, that is when we realize we are on a tandem bike with Jesus peddling for us!

 SAVE THE DATE September 22-24, 2017 our theme will be FIXHER UPPER!

Repurpose, reclaim, replenish, restore, renew… so many words to describe the repairs we need in our lives. God is the original “fixer upper.” Our weekend will focus on allowing God to rejuvenate and renovate our body, soul and spirit.

Our main sessions will feature several of our PennDel gals who have refurbished their lives by allowing God to work in their hearts.

Bekah Arnold – restart your identity (after a dysfunctional past)
Robin Immel – refurbish your marriage
Marjie Tourville – readjust your attitudes

NYSUM Young Adult Outreach

November 18 – 20, 2016

We are so excited to again be hosting a mission’s outreach to New York City the weekend before Thanksgiving. This is a great mission’s trip for young adults.

We travel to very public areas under the direction of the staff of the New York School of Urban Ministry and will spend two evenings on the streets ministering to the homeless. On Saturday we will minister in a variety of venues throughout the city feeding thousands a full Thanksgiving dinner. On Sunday each group can choose a church to attend, from Brooklyn Tabernacle to Times Square Church. Allow me to share with you several benefits of partnering with us in this outreach:

  • We do all the work; you just extend the offer and mail in the registration.
  • This is a great way for young adults and singles to connect with others.
  • People return home with a more compassionate mindset.
  • Couples who minister together, stay together.
  • New York City is one of the most international cities in the world.
  • This is one of the most affordable mission’s trips you will find available. (Only $200!)
  • Your people will never be the same!

This outreach is targeted to young adults, but is open to anyone 18 years of age or older. In the past we have had participation from people of every generation. As we divide the teams for ministry, we will group those of similar age together. Please pass this information to the appropriate person(s) who will coordinate this for your church.
