Superintendent
Dr. Don Immel is a graduate of Valley Forge Christian College, now the University of Valley Forge (’82), and Ashland Theological Seminary (’84), with a concentration in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling from Emerge Ministries, Akron Ohio. Don also earned his Doctor of Ministry degree through Southeastern University with the publication of his dissertation: Denominational Influence In Church Revitalization. In full-time ministry since 1982, he has served as a youth pastor, pastoral counselor, and since 1989, as lead pastor in Uniontown, PA (18 years) and New Stanton, PA (6 years). Additionally, Don served the PennDel Ministry Network as a presbyter from 1997-2013, until the time of his election as Secretary-Treasurer. In May of 2018, he was elected as the Pennsylvania-Delaware District Superintendent serving over 400 churches and 1,200 ministers. He is married to Robin and has three children: Benjamin, Rebecca, and Donnie, and four grandchildren.

Steve DeFrain pastored Morning Star Fellowship for thirty-eight years in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania. Over the years the church experienced steady and consistent growth, which enabled them to plant six churches. He is married to Liz, who serves as the Women’s Director for the PennDel Ministry Network. They have two sons, who are also in full-time ministry. Steven and his wife Leah planted Journey Church in Phoenixville, PA along with four additional campuses. Ryan and his wife Tiffany are campus pastors at Morning Star Fellowship in Pennsburg, PA.
In October 2019, Steve joined the University of Valley Forge where he serves as the VP of Development and Church Relations. In his spare time, he and Liz enjoy spending time with their seven grandchildren.

Jeff Marshall was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. He is a graduate of Asbury College and earned a Master’s Degree from Regent University. Jeff has served as a juvenile counselor, youth pastor, young adult pastor, assistant pastor and elementary school principal. He planted New Day Assembly of God church in Upper Saint Clair, PA in 2000 where he served for 18 years as lead pastor. Additionally, Jeff served as Presbyter of the South West Metro Section located in the Pittsburgh area. Jeff has been married to Cathy since 1983. They have four children and two grandchildren.
