WHAT IS KIDS CAMP?

PENNDEL KIDS CAMP is designed to be the best four days of a child's summer.
Camp is full of fun and exciting activities, opportunities to build life-long friendships,

and creative life-changing services.

GENERAL INFORMATION

WHO CAN ATTEND KIDS CAMP?

Kids Camp is for all kids who have
completed grades 1 – 6.

CAMP LOCATION

All camps will be held at the bongiorno conference center located at 430 UNION HALL RD, CARLISLE, PA.

HOW TO REGISTER?

Contact your church's group leader for your custom registration link.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES

Registration is 4PM - 4:30PM
Departure time begins at NOON
(A bagged lunch will be provided on the
final day of each camp)

CAMP FAQ's

WILL MY GROUP HAVE THEIR OWN ROOM(S)?It is our desire to allow church groups to stay together during the event. Due to the design of the housing units, it may be necessary to house groups in multiple rooms and buildings. Additionally, we may need to house your group with other groups and/or chaperones if needed.  

SHOULD KIDS BRING EXTRA MONEY? Extra money is encouraged and can be used for the snack bar, CampMart, offerings, etc. Prepaid spending money options are available when you register online. More information is available in our downloadable forms on this web page.

BGMC OFFERING HIGHLIGHT: Kids Camp highlights missions and an offering will be presented which will benefit the general BGMC critical needs fund.  

WHAT TO BRING:
  • Bedding (pillow, sleeping bag or sheets, blanket)
  • Bible
  • Water bottle
  • Sneakers and water socks
  • Towels and washcloths
  • Toiletries/personal items
  • Swimsuit, beach towel, sunscreen(only one-piece suits will be allowed for girls. Please check suits for transparency when wet.)
 

WHAT NOT TO BRING (If found in a camper’s possession, they will be confiscated and returned at the end of camp.
  • Cell phones
  • Electronic devices/gaming systems
  • Water guns or prank items
 

WILL THERE BE MEDICAL STAFF AVAILABLE? Yes there will be medical staff available. Each camper is required to complete the online Medical Authorization Form. This is the second step of online registration.
ARE THERE VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS? Yes, our office requires the following three items for every chaperone (18 years of age and older) who will attend with your group. These reports may take several weeks to receive, so please recruit your chaperones as early as possible. Please submit copies of these completed clearances to cmeyer@penndel.org

PA State Police Criminal Background Check
PA Department of Human Services Child Abuse Clearance
FBI Criminal History & Fingerprinting OR a signed affidavit affirming chaperone is not disqualified from service

DO I NEED TO RENEW MY CHAPERONE SCREENING FOR THIS YEAR? Please check your chaperones’ state clearances to determine if they are up to date. They must be renewed every 5 years. Please be aware the turnaround time for receiving results may be severely delayed due to high volume. Plan to rescreen as early as possible.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING AS A VOLUNTEER?
  • A water bottle (we have a cold water dispenser)
  • Night light or two (a help to some campers)
  • Plastic hangers to dry towels
  • Flash light & sun glasses
  • Watch or cell phone
  • Permanent marker for camper purchases and t-shirts
  • Pencil or pen, and paper or tablet
  • Blue painters tape
  • Scissors (stored away securely)
  • Air freshener for bathroom
  • Sun screen (enough for you and your campers)
  • Backpack and hat
  • Anti-bacterial hand sanitizer
  • Table games, puzzles, or card games (great alternative for inclement weather)
  • Tissues and paper towels
  • Snacks for yourself
  • Sneakers (you will walk a lot)
  • Bible and optional devotional to use with your campers
  • Cards or letters for campers who do not receive mail
  • Pillow, sleeping bag/bed sheets and blanket
  • Water shoes (for creek/tubing)
  • Throw rug or bath mat (for in front of the shower)
  • Small electric fan (rooms are air-conditioned)
  • Duct tape & décor for cardboard boat competition
  • An awesome attitude and a servant’s heart!
