Victory Church Ucity – Philadelphia, PA

Campus Pastor Phil & Valerie McLeod
“Serving the least, the last and the lost.”  Jesus said “go and make disciples of all nations . . . “  We must go!  There are very few options for persons seeking to worship in a dynamic, Spirit-filled, contemporary fellowship in the University City district of Philadelphia.  There are currently no Assemblies of God churches in the neighborhood.  Victory Church UCity is light in the darkness; hope for the hopeless; home for the seeking; a place of peace in the midst of turmoil.
University City is a tale of two neighborhoods.  The area from 30th to 40th streets is a dynamic community focused on education, research, health and wellness and transportation.  It is home to Drexel University, University of Pennsylvania, University of the Sciences, the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and much more, The area from 40th to 50th streets is a different community.  High unemployment, lower property values, and a significant percentage of the population living below the poverty line are marks of the status in this area.  The world has come to University City as residents come from more than 120 different nations. The unique and vast cultural, societal, educational and economic diversity provides Victory Church UCity Church the opportunity to serve the least, the last and the lost in this great confluence of people.  Meeting at the International House of Philadelphia on 37th and Chestnut Street places Victory Church UCity in the heart of the community with a heart for the community.
Victory Church/UCity Church is an “adult-centric” fellowship of believers experiencing God, encountering community, engaging the world, and encouraging others through worship, the Word and fellowship.  The vision of Victory Church of Audubon, the Greater Philadelphia section and the PennDel Ministry Network partners together to reach the Delaware Valley and beyond for the glory of God!
